  • Series Expansion – MP9025 Added to the MP9000/MT9000 Insert Series for Turning Difficult-to-cut Materials

    November 28, 2018

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, Metalworking Solutions Company (President - Shinichi Nakamura, Headquarters: Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has added MP9025, a PVD coated grade for interrupted machining, to the MP9000/MT9000 insert series for turning difficult-to-cut materials.

The MP9000/MT9000 series is ideal for turning difficult-to-cut materials such as titanium, heat resistant and corrosion resistant alloys that are typically used in the aircraft and medical industries. The MP9000/MT9000 series has gained a good reputation from customers by providing superior wear, fracture and welding resistance that enables longer tool life.

To expand the application options available, MP9025, a PVD coated grade for interrupted machining has been added to the MP9000/MT9000 insert series.

    Features of MP9025

    1. MP9025 is a grade designed for interrupted machining for light through to rough cutting applications.

    2. The MP9025 grade prevents insert damage thereby providing increased stability.
